Further the gathering of documentation of the koli songs sung across the seven islands which serve stories of the rich cultural heritage of the Koli’s which describe the immediate surroundings, their daily occupational practises, description of their customs, ritual practices and so on. The need arises from time to time as the Koli’s are hardly speaking their language which was once developed as one of the occupational languages (boli bhasha).
